Brain Science is now LIVE on Facebook
After an awkward start we will resume our monthly LIVE video on Facebook starting July 5, 2018. My plan is to appear on FB Live the first Thursday of each month at 8PM Central Time to discuss an earlier episode of i. Listeners can submit questions and comments prior to the first of each month or participate live. Premium Subscribers and Patreon Supporters will have access to the audio recordings of each session. The tentative schedule is as follows:

Brain Science podcast Goes on Hiatus
Following the unexpected death of my husband Dennis Smith last summer, I have struggled to keep the show going, despite the support of my friends and listeners. On March 1, 2016 I announced that the Brain Science Podcast is going on a six month hiatus. The next episode will posted in September 2016. The Brain Science Podcast was a Finalist for Best Science and Medicine Podcast for the 2015 Podcast Academy Awards. Winners were announced on July 31, 2015 at ceremony held in conjunction with Podcast Movement 2015 in Dallas, Texas.

Dr. Campbell was a Plenary Speaker at this year's American Humanist Association's Annual Conference. Her talk will be entitled "Our Enemy is Suffering (not Death): What Every Humanist Needs to know about Palliative Care."
Neuroplasticity and Healing with the Dalai Lama
The November 2014 (BSP 113) episode of the Brain Science Podcast featured exclusive coverage of the event "Neuroplasticity and the Brain" which is being hosted at the UAB School of Medicine on October 25, 2014. Guests included the Dalai Lama, Dr. Edward Taub, Dr. Norman Doidge and and Dr. Michael Merzenich. These scientists have all been featured on the Brain Science Podcast.

Dr. Campbell Starts Fellowship in Palliative Care Medicine
After spending over 20 years practicing Emergency Medicine in rural Alabama Dr. Ginger Campbell (Founder an host of the Brain Science Podcast) has embarked on a new career challenge. She is doing a Fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine at the UAB School of Medicine in Birmingham, AL.

Unfortunately, the Premium Subscription will only be available for iOS and Android because it is not yet supported by Windows phones.
